( – In a recent interview on the PBD Podcast, Stephen A. Smith revealed that he was “ashamed” of the Democratic party and their inability to compete with Trump. He further pointed out that despite all the legal woes Trump is facing, he’s still not behind bars and still expected to be the GOP nominee in November. “You can’t stop him,” he said.

Smith spoke about how there were multiple charges that have been filed against Trump by Letitia James, Fani Willis, and more. He also mentioned the Mar-a-Lago case that has been brought against him. He continued by questioning where the country is going amid these cases, along with the hush money case involving Stormy Daniels.

Smith, who is a Democratic voter, has often criticized former President Donald Trump and been critical of other Democrats for failing to slow Trump down.

He continued by saying he isn’t arguing that anyone should be above the law. However, he said Trump is the former president and that “you talk to us” about collusion with Russia and other legal issues. Meanwhile, Trump “is still running.

He further pointed out that Trump who is the presumptive nominee is facing four indictments and a total of 91 counts. He said that despite all of this, Trump seemed to still be winning in the polls and his ranking continued to increase. According to him, this is unacceptable, because Democrats have had since 2016 to find someone who could “compete with this man.” When asked if he still wanted Democrats to be victorious in 2024, he said it was “hard to figure out.”
