( – Former President Donald Trump defended the Princess of Wales during a Britain GB News interview, arguing that everyone edited their images.

On Tuesday, March 19, Trump argued in the interview that Kate, 42, editing her photos shouldn’t be a problem and that everyone was doctoring their photos. This comment was made after he was asked about the apology issued by Kate over a photo featuring her and her kids that was retracted from media outlets following the discovery that it had been doctored.

The apology from Kate came after a number of news agencies, including The Associated Press, pulled the picture following its release.

A statement from the Kensington Palace said that that as an amateur photographer, Kate “occasionally experiment[ed] with editing.”

In his interview with Nigel Farage, Trump argued that this is something everyone did and that oftentimes with movie actors you would see them in real life and even question if they are the same person. He continued on to say that he looked at the photo and claimed there was very little editing. He indicated he did not understand why so many people got so upset about that.

Kensington Palace has not yet released any information related to how much the photo of Kate and her children was edited. The photo has since been redacted.

On March 22, Kate appeared in a video to explain her extended absence from the public eye. She said that after her abdominal surgery in January, doctors discovered she had cancer. As a result, she is currently undergoing “preventative chemotherapy.
