(ConservativeHub.com) – On Tuesday, April 2, former President Donald Trump slammed New York Judge Juan Merchan for issuing an expanded gag order in his hush money criminal case. Trump argued in a social media post that it is unfair for such gag orders to be put in place when others have the right to “talk about” him.

In his post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump argued that he had just received information about the gag order against him, which blocks him from verbal attacks against those involved in the hush money case. He claimed that this is regarding a case that no one, including the district attorney, had believed should be brought forward, and yet everyone else was allowed to talk about him while he was not allowed to talk at all about them.

He continued in his post by stating that this was not something that sounded fair and that the judge needed to be “recused” in this case. He continued by noting that the entire case needed to be tossed. In his social media post, he also said that he believed there had never been a more “conflicted judge” before.

On Monday, April 1, Judge Juan Merchan issued a ruling to expand the gag order of the former President in an attempt to restrict Trump’s attacks against Loren Merchan, his daughter who is a Democratic political consultant. In his ruling, Merchan said that there had been repeated attacks against the families of attorneys and jurists in the cases relating to the former President. He argued that the attacks only serve to “inject fear” into those involved in the case.
