(ConservativeHub.com) – On Tuesday, January 9, Whoopi Goldberg, the co-host of “The View,” warned the audience and her co-hosts that failing to vote for President Joe Biden would be counted as a vote for former President Donald Trump rounding up journalists and “gay folks,” making them “disappear.”
During a segment of the show, the co-hosts discussed how young Democrats viewed the party and whether the support towards Israel from the Biden administration could lose him votes with young people.
Sunny Hostin said that the Israel-Hamas war was a point of great divide with young voters, who had been instrumental in the election of Joe Biden in 2020. Hostin added that at the time, young voters had supported Biden and were now protesting the war in Gaza as an “environmental justice issue.” She said Biden had previously gained their support over climate change which is why it was likely that these voters would now abandon him.
Goldberg, however, slammed “the media,” claiming that they were underplaying how popular Biden was among young adults. She added that this was a voting bloc that felt passionately about many issues and that they would demand any elected candidate to take these issues on.
However, she said until it is time for them to cast their ballot, people should be wary of what the media is saying. She stated, “You know what’s upsetting you, and you will discuss it when you go and make your vote.” In addition, she said that the election would be a choice between a candidate who gives everyone the freedom to speak up, and a candidate who says they’re going to be a dictator on “day one” while “disappear[ing]” the journalists and gay people.
