(ConservativeHub.com) – In an unsettling event in Palm Bay, Florida, a 70-year-old woman is accused of inadvertently running over her spouse and causing his death, as she drove around their neighborhood in search of their missing dog. Local residents alerted emergency services upon discovering Gregory Gore unresponsive and suffering from head injuries at the base of his own driveway.

When law enforcement arrived on the scene, officers noted that Sally Gore, Gregory’s wife had the smell of alcohol on her breath. Legal documents reveal that Sally had difficulty articulating her words when recounting the night’s events to the police. She informed them that after dining at Beef O’Brady’s, where she drank two glasses of wine, the couple noticed that their home’s front gate was open. Given their dog’s past behavior of escaping, they feared the worst.

Splitting the search effort, Gregory took to foot, while Sally drove their Honda Ridgeline. After making a loop around the neighborhood, Sally pulled over upon noticing a neighbor standing near her husband’s lifeless body. According to the police report, she seemed unaware that she had hit him. However, investigators found damage on her vehicle matching her husband’s injuries, and security footage later showed her driving past a local community center while calling out for their dog.

Field sobriety tests were administered, and Sally’s blood alcohol level was measured at .12%, above the legal limit. Officers also found markings on Gregory’s leg that correlated with damage to the Honda’s rear and underbody.

Sally Gore now faces serious legal consequences, including charges of DUI manslaughter, a felony, along with misdemeanor drunk driving. She has been released on a $5,500 bond, with conditions including a ban on alcohol consumption. Her next court appearance is scheduled for November 21.
