(ConservativeHub.com) – On April 21, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis appeared in a crowd of over 1,000 top conservative activists during the Heritage Foundation leadership summit at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. While during this appearance, DeSantis did not make any mention of potentially launching his own presidential bid in 2024, he did warn people about the upcoming election.

The Florida governor, who has gained a lot of popularity with conservative bases, was leading up the final session of the leadership summit. During his remarks, he warned that the “left is playing for keeps.”

He claimed that if in 2024, the Democrats manage to take control of chambers of Congress and the presidency, then they would use the power they have gained to attempt to “pack the U.S. Supreme Court,” put an end to the Electoral College, and turn Washington, D.C. into a state. He claimed they would also be attempting to get rid of voter ID in the US and “mandate ballot harvesting in every state of the union.” He proceeded to argue that the agenda of the Democrats did not align with the what most Americans wanted but rather it is an agenda entirely focused on keeping the conservatives out of power and ensuring that their voices cannot be heard.

DeSantis has not yet announced his plans for 2024, but media reports have suggested he is likely to launch a bid sometime soon. Fox News reports that while he has made no public announcements, he has been building up his team, and has visited three early primary states including Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
