(ConservativeHub.com) – In a new interview, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) told NewsNation’s “CUOMO” host Chris Cuomo that he was fully supporting President Biden’s reelection bid.

During the interview, Cuomo asked Newsom why he had not made a bid for the White House in 2024. In response, Newsom revealed that he had not joined the race because he believed in Biden.

Cuomo proceeded to question whether he believed that Biden was the best possible candidate for the Democrats, to which Newsom said that he had a “deep respect” and “reverence” for the President, noting that his character and ability to do “great things” made him deserving of the role. He added that as members of the party, they should have Biden’s back because he deserved it.

Many people have speculated that Newsom was one of the possible presidential candidates in 2024, arguing that he could issue a challenge against Biden. However, Newsom has fully supported the Biden-Harris reelection campaign and has often reiterated this position during interviews. Newsom is still considered a possible candidate for the 2028 presidential race.

Recently in an interview on CNN, Newsom defended Biden over the concerns regarding his age, and argued that Vice President Harris was the best possible running mate for Biden and that she should not be replaced on the 2024 ticket, despite the suggestions of some other members of his party. Newsom told Cuomo that Biden was constantly producing results and he was completely focused and disciplined.
