(ConservativeHub.com) – On Wednesday, July 19, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., raised eyebrows during the House Oversight Committee hearing after she reportedly decided to show some graphic photos that had been taken from Hunter Biden’s laptop. The hearing included an interview of two IRS Whistleblowers, including Special Agent Joseph Ziegler and his IRS supervisor Gary Shapley.
The two whistleblowers have previously provided testimony on the alleged efforts to obstruct the IRS’s investigation into Hunter Biden’s possible tax violations. Shapley was the first one to allege that the years-long probe had been influenced by politics.
During this latest hearing, Ziegler claimed that Hunter Biden had itemized a $10,000 deduction on his 2018 tax return that was supposedly for a golf club membership, but it ended up being a sex club membership. Ziegler told Greene that these deductions are believed to have been for payments made to escorts and that there was no golf club membership, but rather sex club payments.
At one point during the hearing, Greene displayed censored nude photos that were taken from Hunter Biden’s laptop.
She said Hunter Biden paid a woman to travel from California to Washington, D.C., on June 15, which would be a violation of the Mann Act. She also attempted unsuccessfully to get Ziegler to confirm whether or not the President’s son used Owasco PC to pay for prostitutes.
One member, Jamie Raskin (D-MD) tried to interject, asking whether it was appropriate for the images to be displayed. Other Democrats were also quick to condemn Greene’s decision, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) arguing, “No one deserves that.”
After the hearing, Hunter Biden’s lawyer introduced an ethics complaint in response to the photo display. USA Today reported that the lawyer called it a “new level of abhorrent behavior.”
