(ConservativeHub.com) – Senator Mitt Romney and his wife, Ann, decided to delve into the Halloween festivities, embracing the roles of the much-talked-about pair, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

On Halloween, the Senator from Utah proudly revealed his costume choice—a Kansas City Chiefs jersey with Kelce’s number, a football at his side, and a broad grin. His wife, Ann, complemented his sports-themed attire with an outfit that brought to mind the pop sensation Taylor Swift. She wore a long, blonde wig, sunglasses, and a cheerleader outfit similar to the one Swift donned in the 2014 music video for “Shake it Off.”

Romney’s post, which he shared on Instagram, included a playful nod to Swift’s 2008 hit “Love Story,” with the caption reading, “It’s a love story, baby, just say yes!” This added a dash of romance to their Halloween celebration.

Romney, who had announced his planned retirement from the Senate, was no stranger to Halloween spirit. The previous year, he drew attention by dressing up as “Ted Lasso,” the ever-optimistic TV show character, with Senator Kyrsten Sinema joining in as Rebecca Welton from the same series.

The tradition of Halloween merriment seemed to be longstanding for the Romneys. Back in 2012, Romney had joined in the fun with a mask of his own face for a family Halloween photo, and in 2019, his grandson chose to dress as “Pierre Delecto,” cleverly tipping the hat to Romney’s then-secret Twitter alias. Each year as autumn rolled in, it became clear that the Romneys were all set to share their sense of humor with everyone, marking the season with their unique celebration.
