(ConservativeHub.com) – According to a recent Fox News report, entrepreneur Elon Musk claimed that the Department of Justice’s decision to indict former President Donald Trump could lead to a lack of trust from US citizens.

On Thursday, June 8, Musk argued in a Tweet that it appears that people are more interested in prosecuting Trump than any other political figure. He also warned that it was important for the justice system to prove that they were not differentially enforcing laws, as this could result in the public no longer having trust in these institutions.

Trump announced that he had been informed of the indictment on Thursday night in his social media post on his platform Truth Social. In the post, he claimed that his indictment was part of a witch hunt, and criticized the Justice Department for its handling of the classified documents case involving President Joe Biden. He also said that many of those documents were not in a secure location as they had been in Biden’s garage.

Media headlines exploded this past year when documents marked classified were found in the possession of Biden and Trump, as well as former Vice President Mike Pence. However, the case against Pence was recently closed without charges being filed. The investigation into the documents in Biden’s possession is reportedly still ongoing.

Trump has alleged that his indictment was a result of the “most corrupt” administration trying to interfere with the 2024 presidential election. He added that he would plead not guilty to all charges filed against him.
