(ConservativeHub.com) – On Friday, December 1, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley celebrated the enthusiasm generated by her 2024 presidential campaign following the recent attacks she has faced from the other political candidates.

During a recent Fox News Channel “The Story” interview with Martha MacCallum, Haley was asked about former President Donald Trump’s verbal attacks against her. In response, she argued that these attacks are only because all of her opponents know that her campaign is “surging” in the 2024 primary polls.

Haley also alleged that the only reason Trump had given her the nickname “bird brain” was because he was “losing it.” She said it was not a great nickname. She also boasted that she was actually significantly tougher on China than the former President. She proceeded to note that while Trump had taken action to deal with the trade deal, he had not done anything regarding fentanyl flow, intellectual property theft, or the acquisition of U.S. land by Chinese entities. She added that the fact that he had not taken any action regarding any of this would mean that they would now need to deal with it.

MacCallum proceeded to ask about the recent remarks regarding Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dropping out of the presidential race, arguing that this was a personal decision and she would never try to tell someone whether or not they should drop out of the race. However, she said that based on where they are right now, her campaign was second in South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Iowa. She also responded to recent verbal attacks from DeSantis, who attacked her previous position as the governor of South Carolina. According to her, she’s “proud” of her record as governor and believes DeSantis targeted her because he’s losing.
