(ConservativeHub.com) – On Monday, April 1, Luis Alfredo Pacheco Rojas, 34, was fatally shot in Houston, TX. Rojas’s father is Alfredo Pacheco, who holds a significant political position as the Dominican Republic’s Chamber of Deputies president. The Houston Police Department is actively pursuing three individuals believed to be connected to the shooting.

The circumstances surrounding the incident have been partially reconstructed by the authorities. Rojas, a 34-year-old individual also recognized in the music industry under the pseudonym “El Pikante,” and a 29-year-old man, along with two other companions, were embarking on their journey in a black SUV from a gas station located in the 2400 block of South Wayside Drive at approximately 7:25 p.m. This ordinary departure turned tragic when a Dodge Charger and a Mercedes-Benz converged on their location. From these vehicles, three men emerged — two from the Charger and one from the Mercedes — and commenced firing at the SUV before fleeing.

The aftermath of this assault was grim. Rojas was urgently transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was declared deceased. The other mentioned victim was admitted to a hospital and listed in critical condition.

The tragedy was publicly acknowledged by Alfredo Pacheco, who is not only grappling with the loss of his son but also the shocking manner of his demise. Through a statement on X (formerly Twitter), he conveyed the heartbreaking news of Luis Alfredo’s passing, noting his residence abroad and the ongoing investigative efforts to unravel the circumstances leading to his death. In his message, Pacheco extended his appreciation for the outpouring of support and solidarity from friends and colleagues during this difficult period.
