(ConservativeHub.com) – Former President Donald Trump and Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie have had a contentious relationship. Recently, things got heated when Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung slammed Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie, whom he alleged lives in a “perpetual fantasy land” about possibly winning the White House. While talking to The Hill, he claimed that Christie is always lying and that everything he is saying has a level of “incoherent psychotic rage.” Cheung proceeded to allege that it was necessary for Christie to get some professional help.

The Hill originally requested a response from former President Donald Trump’s campaign following Christie’s comments on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Tuesday, July 11. During that appearance, Christie claimed that every night, Trump was thinking about the sound of a jail cell door shutting due to the 37-count indictment against him. He argued that Trump might very well take a plea deal to keep himself out of prison, despite all his tough talk.

Christie formally joined the presidential race in June. Prior to that, he had been an outspoken critic of Trump, whom he had previously worked with. Following Trump’s indictments, Christie argued that the actions Trump had taken in regard to the classified documents case were “reprehensible” and even claimed that the entire case could have possibly been avoided if Trump had just returned the documents when they were originally requested. “

Trump has pleaded not guilty to the federal charges relating to the classified documents found in his Mar-A-Lago home.
